NSFA’s Dr. Anthony Oliver Selected for Leadership Alabama Initiative Class of 2024-2025

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Anthony Oliver, Chief Schools Officer at the New Schools for Alabama (NSFA), has been selected to join the esteemed Leadership Alabama Initiative (ALI) Class VII for 2024-2025.

This competitive program invites a select group of leaders across the state to collaborate with Alabama’s top decision-makers and problem-solvers in pursuit of meaningful progress for our communities and state.

As Leadership Alabama Executive Director Ashley Kaplan explains, "The initiative exposes young professionals to decision-makers in Alabama who are sensitive to the challenges we face as a state, and it provides the participants with the unique opportunity to step inside the circle of decision-makers and problem solvers who mold the future of our state."

Over the course of this year, Dr. Oliver and his cohort of 57 leaders will gather in Montgomery, Auburn, and Birmingham for thought-provoking presentations and discussions, led by Leadership Alabama’s new ALI director, Lydia Barnett. These sessions will encourage them to examine preconceptions, consider innovative solutions, and foster personal growth—driving toward ALI’s three core goals of education, connections, and personal development.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Oliver for this well-deserved recognition and look forward to the lasting impact his experience will bring to NSFA and beyond.
