Introducing Anthony Oliver as Chief Schools Officer at New Schools for Alabama




We are excited to announce that Anthony Oliver is joining our team at New Schools for Alabama as our Chief Schools Officer. Anthony has extensive experience in school and organizational leadership, having previously worked as a teacher, school leader, and nonprofit executive. He is passionate about working with school leaders, teachers, and families to create systems and processes that benefit the overall development of students.


Anthony is also the founder of Empower Community School, a charter school located in Bessemer, AL. The school is committed to making a positive impact in the community by collaborating with a diverse group of scholars, educators, families, and partners to educate the next generation of community leaders and advocates. Empower Community School focuses on personalized learning to support the academic, social, and emotional development of each student, preparing them to succeed in all their endeavors and advocate for themselves and the community. We are thrilled to announce that Empower Community School will soon expand with a new campus.
